The 27-hole championship golf course opened in June, 1997. The course will remain open to the public for several years, after which it will become a private facility open only to members and their guests. Its topographical diversity, multiple strategic options, ample sand and water and four tee boxes on each hole make for a satisfying round.

In addition, The Powder Horn offers one of the best practice facilities in the country. The practice area consists of an expansive multi-tiered putting green, large tees and short game areas on both ends of the range. There are nine target greens to shoot at, two of which have been designed for specific yardage (70-120) short iron shots. The practice facility offers the opportunity to realistically simulate any possible shot that may arise out on the course.

The course includes a replica of the famous Swilcan Burn Bridge, a front nine resembling a typical links course, and a Back nine of target golf revolving around the Old Red Barn.

There are 48 Sand Bunkers - many over 10,000 sq.ft.

Golfweek Magazines declared Powderhorn one of the "Top 100 Modern Courses".

The Powder Horn Golf Course design includes 48 sand bunkers with many over 10,000 sq. ft. Thirty of these bunkers are on the front nine. The remaining 18 are placed on the back nine, which features large stands of cottonwoods, and the Little Goose Creek.

Starting at $80,000, the homesites range in size from 7,500 sq. feet to four acres. Choose from views of the Big Horn Mountains, Little Goose Creek, the golf course and more. All homesites include a membership to The Powder Horn Golf Club.
